Before we dive in, let me tell you a bit about the Larkin behind LARKIN. (That’s me.)

After nearly a decade of braving the Trader Joe’s lines in NYC, I recently returned to my California roots. Yes, I miss the adrenaline rush of hustling in a big city, but I also love being near my family and heading to the beach on a weeknight. Life is all about balance, right? I’ve found mine being bicoastal.

In addition to my creative work, I’m a founding member of Trellis Social Club, a new meet-up for women in wellness, and an active volunteer at JDRF in San Francisco. A type 1 diabetic since age 11, I’m passionate about spreading awareness about the disease and excited about the promising research organizations like JDRF and New York’s Naomi Berrie Diabetes Center have been putting into action.

I’m also a proud woman of mixed ethnicities (1/4 Chamorro, 1/4 Spanish, and 1/2  English-Welsh, if you’re curious), a graduate of USC film school, and an overzealous dog lover.


LARKIN is a new content destination that brings my passion projects and creative work under one digital roof: a mix of new stuff and old faves that will, fingers crossed, keep you clicking back for more. It’s the nudge you need to book the trip, try a new look, and get all up in that witchy-magic-wellness stuff you’ve been curious about. It’s a portal to a diverse group of movers and shakers who create influence in real life, not just in your Instagram feed (though you’ll get to know some of those influencers, too).

Here, you’ll find consistent proof that you don’t literally have to be a baller to look, travel, or live like one. I regularly report on It-girl trends and have stayed at my share of high-end resorts, but roughing it in the mountains and scouting $5 beauty products is also my speed. Don’t let my swirly hair and sartorial prowess fool you: I’m writing this wearing PJs.

About My Work

I’m a multidisciplinary creative who works with brands, publications, and media personalities on a variety of cool projects, from photo shoot producing to multi-platform content campaigns that encompass everything from tag lines to editorial. I have a passion for storytelling and like to think of myself as a creative shape-shifter, rising to whatever a project calls for.

I consult with leading publishers like Condé Nast and Hearst Digital Media on consumer marketing and native advertising, and regularly cover lifestyle, fashion, beauty, and wellness for a range of digital editorial publications. (You may have spotted my byline on sites like Well+Good,,,, Birchbox, or Huffpost.) Over the course of my career, I’ve tackled content from many angles: as a lifestyle and market editor, content strategist and director, copy and screenwriter, photographer, stylist, video director, producer, and on-camera talent. (Hence the “multidisciplinary” moniker.) More recently, I began collaborating with Brooklyn Cartoons on a series about living that Millennial Life, which you should totally check out the next time you fall down an Instagram hole.

Before going freelance, I was an editor at DailyCandy, where I directed branded content and starred in campaigns for partners like Levi’s, Olay, Nike, and Tiffany & Co.
